The Climate Reality Action Fund stands in solidarity with those demanding justice for George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and countless other lives lost to systemic racism, white supremacy, and police brutality. We recognize that these are not isolated incidents.
As an organization fighting for climate justice, we have a responsibility to speak out against systemic racism and work with our partners to help dismantle systems of white supremacy that perpetuate violence and harm against people of color. There can be no climate justice without racial justice.
We work towards an electoral system where voting is safe, accessible, and offers a means to combat injustices of all kinds. While voting won’t unilaterally solve the systemic and institutional nature of racism in our country, showing up at the ballot box this November is one of the most important ways to make your voice heard and ensure elected officials put the health, safety, and dignity of communities of color at the fore.
We urge everyone to register to vote, and in November, show up to demand justice for our partners, colleagues, friends, and neighbors who experience injustices of all kinds. The movements for climate and racial justice are inextricably linked, and our mission to build an equitable and inclusive climate movement is only possible if we continue to fight for the health, safety, opportunity, and basic human rights of all people. Stand with us, and vote.
